Data Retention
Last updated: June 9, 2026
Overview
Flying Colors keeps account, student, learning, support, and operational information only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and maintain reliable records. This page explains what that means in practice. How information is collected and used is described in our Privacy Policy.
Retention principles
- Active records are kept while we provide the service to you or your school.
- Learning records are kept to support learning continuity, progress reporting, support, and educational purposes.
- Records are deleted or de-identified when no longer needed, unless a legal, security, or contractual obligation requires keeping them.
- Backups and operational logs are kept temporarily and removed through standard cycles.
What we keep
Student learning records. Profiles, lesson progress, practice and diagnostic answers and results, game activity and scores, and progress views — kept so practice can continue across sessions and authorized adults can review learning activity.
Website inquiries. Demo, pilot, and family-interest submissions are kept while they are relevant to an active conversation or interest list, and removed or de-identified when no longer needed.
Blog comments. Approved comments remain published until removed. Submissions that are never verified or are rejected in moderation are not published and may be deleted.
Support communications. Kept as long as needed to resolve the request and maintain a record of how it was handled.
Deletion and access requests
Parents, guardians, schools, and authorized administrators may request deletion, export, correction, or a retention review of records they are responsible for. Requests are evaluated against account authority, school instructions, contracts, legal obligations, and security requirements; some requests may require identity or authorization checks before completion.
How to submit a request
Email David Johnson at david.johnson@superbuilders.school with the affected account and, if applicable, the school or program name. See the Support page for more on requests.
